Find a prisoner
If you are unsure which establishment a prisoner is located in, or to confirm an individual's details, please use the prisoner location service.
Our general enquiries line is not able to provide this information. Please remember a prisoner must give permission for their details to be shared.Keep in touch
We encourage you to stay in contact with your friends and loved ones while they are in prison to support them through their custodial sentence.
You can keep in touch via phone, letter or by using the 'email a prisoner' service.Transfer money
Family and friends can transfer money securely to a prisoner via the government website.
It only takes a few minutes to sign up and your funds are transferred to the prison electronically.
Prisoner Property
Applications
Prisoner property applications are accepted:
- During the 28-day reception period
- After 12 months in custody
All applications must be submitted internally. Prisoners must provide:
- Up to three preferred dates and times for delivery
- The name of a nominated person who will deliver the property
Once approved, applications will be issued with a reference number confirming the agreed date and time of delivery.
Delivery process
When delivering property, the nominated person must bring the reference number and valid photographic ID.
- Deliveries made outside of the approved booking slot will not be accepted.
- Prohibited items or items exceeding the permitted allowance will be refused.
